CAM4 Debuts 'My Shop' for Performers

CAM4 Debuts 'My Shop' for Performers

LOS ANGELES — CAM4 has announced the launch of its new “My Shop” marketplace feature that enables performers to sell their homemade videos for tokens, directly from their profile.

According to the company, performers can now supplement their broadcast earnings by selling videos to the worldwide CAM4 audience without the hassle of third-party websites or unsafe payment systems, using a fully integrated sales solution built natively into CAM4 and designed with ease-of-use and performers in mind.

Performers can easily upload videos from their desktop or directly from their mobile device.

“Simply shoot a quick video on your phone from wherever you are, upload it for sale in minutes,” says a company spokesperson. “My Shop provides a seamless end-to-end sales process, all from the CAM4 ‘my account’ section. Videos can be uploaded in all common file formats up to 1GB and performers have full control over pricing.”

My Shop already has thousands of videos uploaded and ready for purchase using tokens and watchable at any time from the new “My Library” area of the user’s profile.

Fans can buy videos to support performers and watch then when their favorites are not broadcasting, while collectors can fill their libraries with new videos every day and the “Top Videos of the Week” lists.

Performers have access to deep insights about their personal shops and are able to keep an eye on their sales, likes, and views to discover what makes their videos successful.

Nikki Night, CAM4’s head of performer training and development, is proud of the company’s new tools.

“My Shop is something we have wanted to develop for some time,” Night says. “We are dedicated to arming our performers with all the tools necessary to help them engage with their audience and increase their monthly income.”

Night says that the debut comes hot on the heels of the launch of CAM4’s interactive Live Touch tipping feature and is one of many new innovations coming to CAM4 this year, in hopes of helping performers build a sustainable and rewarding income from camming.

“Now performers have the ability to make money even when they are offline. CAM4 has already paid out more than $100M to performers so there’s never been a better time to make CAM4 your broadcast home!” Night exclaims. “My Shop empowers performers to build a deeper connection with their audience while boosting their income, even when they are offline.  Viewers will be able to enjoy content from their favorite performers 24/7.”
