SAN FRANCISCO — Good Vibrations continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a Build-A-Vibe event hosted by high-end boutique brand Crave.
Crave founders Ti Chang and Michael Topolovac will be on-hand for the one-of-a-kind workshop that lets participants build their own Crave Duet vibrator.
“Come learn about vibrator design with Michael and Ti, then assemble your very own Duet vibrator from parts they provide, with their expert instruction,” the company said. Crave most recently brought its Build-A-Vibe to South by Southwest in Austin.
Part of Good Vibes’ "A Day at the Antique Vibrator Museum" series of events celebrating Good Vibes’ 40th anniversary, the Crave Build-A-Vibe event costs $95 for one or two people and includes one Crave Duet vibrator — which normally retails for $149.
Good Vibrations’ Polk Street store, home of the museum, will host the event on Sunday, May 21 from 4-6 p.m.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Good Vibes also is hosting a “Bling My Vibe!” contest, where participants must make an art piece using the brand’s simple Smoothie vibrator. Winners will be announced at a special awards event on May 21. The top three winners will receive a Good Vibrations gift basket/gift card combo valued at $300, $200 and $100 respectively.
