NEW YORK — Emojibator will be exhibiting its line of vibrators at Sex Expo New York 2017, to be held Sept. 23-24 at the Brooklyn Expo Center.
Created by Philadelphia-based Jaime Jandler, the Eggplant Emojibator was released in 2016 and featured in articles by Comopolitan’s Kathryn Lindsay and New York Magazine’s Madison Malone Kircher. The Emojibator line was expanded with the release of the Chili Pepper Emojibator.
“Emojibator promotes healthy sexuality and aims to destigmatize masturbation with high-quality sex toy products,” said Joe Vela, spokesperson for Emojibator and its parent company Pixelrise. “First inspired by the Internet generation’s love for the eggplant emoji, Emojibator makes body-safe vibrators that bring more laughter and fun into the bedroom.”
Vela added, “In 2016, the Eggplant Emojibator launched as the leading story on Cosmopolitan.com and gained viral popularity. In response to the global buzz, Emojibator released the Chili Pepper Emojibator and Emojibator Travel Case. Other emoji-styled toys are coming soon.”
In early March, organizers for the Sexual Health Expo (SHE) announced that it was rebranding as Sex Expo. The biannual sexual wellness event has been taking place in Los Angeles and New York City, and Sex Expo New York 2017 will be its first East Coast gathering since the name change.
“We have the opportunity to travel to participate in events all over the world right now, but Sex Expo New York has a special place in our hearts,” Vela said. “It was the first sex event we went to last year. Plus, both founders are from New York, and our CMO/founder, Kris, is based in Brooklyn.”
The Eggplant Emojibator and Chili Pepper Emojibator sell for $32 at Emojibator.com.
“Ultimately, our goal is to get people talking about masturbation in a positive and intelligent way,” Vela said. “We put a fun twist on it with emojis. We always try to bring something funny and astonishing for our team to engage audiences with, and Sex Expo will be no different.”
