'Vice Is Nice' Charity Event Set for July 29

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — The annual “Vice Is Nice” animal rescue poker tournament and Monte Carlo night has been slated for Saturday, July 29, at Penthouse owner Kelly Holland’s Rancho Providencia property in Chatsworth.

The 8th annual event begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until midnight and will include music and dancing, red carpet photos, vegetarian food, prizes, tarot card readings and more.

As in past years the 2017 “Vice Is Nice” will raise funds for the Animal Rescue Alliance and four other local rescue organizations.

Holland, in an interview with XBIZ last year, characterized the annual event as one that brings together animal lovers and industry luminaires who help raise much-needed funds for animal rescue. More than 750 attended the 2016 version of "Vice Is Nice."

“I love to throw a bunch of people together and watch the magic. No place is that more true than Vice Is Nice because you have industry, rescue people and friends from all over the world come in,” she said. “I’ve stood in the middle of the ranch and watched people who have not seen each other for 15 years stumble into each other. It’s great.”

General admission tickets to "Vice Is Nice" are $20 online and $25 at the event. To participate in the poker tournament, seats are $55 in advance, including admission, or $65 at the event. There are Uber drop-off points and parking assistance. Attendees must be 21 years of age. For more information or to pre-register, call (818) 257-0551 or visit TheAnimalRescueAlliance.org.
