LALExpo Taps Co-hosts for July's Conference

CARTAGENA, Colombia — Organizers of the 2017 LALExpo reiterated in a press release today that the adult business conference will go on as planned and that it had selected two co-hosts for the upcoming show.

LALExpo, the only business-oriented adult entertainment conference in South America, has been held three consecutive years. The conference is slated this year for July 10-12.

The show, which includes an awards program, had faced threats of a ban imposed by the mayor and other elected local officials.

“Despite the attempt by the public prosecutor of Cartagena to ban the event, LALExpo continues,” organizers said. “The mayor of Cartagena, Manuel Vicente Duque, [was] suspended from office due to alleged mismanagement with different construction sites of the city.”

Pledging to keep the convention on track, show organizers today announced that they have tapped SGM Pro CEO Andy Wullmer and Alejandra Omaña, a porn actress and journalist who authored the book "Stories of a Frontier," to co-host the three-day conference and awards program.

Organizers also said that they have tapped Reggaeton artist Andy Rivera as a special guest for the show’s closing party.
