LOS ANGELES — 2015 Trans Performer of the Year Venus Lux will display her Dave Naz photos at the Garboushian Gallery photo exhibition, “Perspectives in California Captivity,” in Beverly Hills, Calif.
She will also appear at tonight’s opening reception from 7-9 p.m. The exhibition will be run through Aug. 11.
“Perspectives in California Captivity” is an original art project and exhibition in collaboration with photographers Steve Diet, Goedde, Dave Naz and Victor Lightworship. With three different perspectives of a quintessential Southern California location, the three photographers present their own sensual interpretation of a single location and the carnal beings that inhabit it.
Additionally, Lux is featured in Dave Naz’s latest photo book, “Identity: In & Beyond the Binary.”
“When Dave Naz asked me to jump on this project I was so excited and now I am honored to part take in his next artist showcase,” Lux said. “I believe in his vision for transgender visibility and advocacy especially with the release of his new book, ‘Identity.’ Overall, he’s a wonderful ally, photographer, artist and friend. I hope everyone can experience the level of inspiration that I've gained by Dave at the Garboushian Gallery Show.”
The Garboushian Gallery is located at 427 N. Camden Drive, Beverly Hills, Calif. 90210. For more information, visit Garboushian.com.
