When asked who initiates the use of adult toys with their partners, 26 percent of the women and 23 percent of the men said they bring it up. 28 percent of the women and 33 percent of the men said they waited until their partner expressed an interest in sex toys, and 46 percent of the women and 44 percent of the men said they do not use sex toys with a partner.
“Sex toys can add a fun, exciting element to relationships, no matter how new or established,” said AdamAndEve.com sexpert Dr. Kat Van Kirk. “From blindfolds to body paints to his and hers massagers, toy use can help you experience one another in a whole new light as well as improve your overall relationship satisfaction.”
AdamAndEve.com director of marketing Chad Davis added, “Adam & Eve is pleased to provide hundreds of different types of adult toys for men, women and couples, in all different shapes, sizes and intensities.”
The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of more than 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
