VENICE, Calif. — Charlotte Stokely is featured in Jim Carrey’s newest Showtime series, “I’m Dying Up Here.”
Stokely appears in the fifth episode. She plays a model that has sex at the model house with celebrities. According to a representative, she is featured prominently in the opening part of the scene, walking naked through the house. She was specifically requested for the role, a representative indicated.
“I’m Dying Up Here” stars Melissa Leo and Michael Angarano, and is set in the 1970s. The show is Bbsed on former LA Times writer William Knoedelseder's book of the same name, which “delves into the inspired and damaged psyches that inhabit the hilarious, but complex business of making an audience laugh.”
“I was so excited to be on set for Jim Carrey,” Stokely said. “I kept thinking that throughout the shoot. He’s one of my all-time favorite actors. It’s been cool to see how well it turned out and how much people are enjoying the series. I knew it had aired when suddenly several strangers recognized me from the show. So far everyone has said they loved it!”
