Tristan Taormino Launches Vivid-Ed Site

LOS ANGELES — Vivid director and writer Tristan Taormino has launched her new sex-ed website, Vivid-Ed.com, to accompany her recently released Vivid-Ed educational adult videos.

Dubbed "sex-ed for a new generation," Vivid-Ed was developed as an education source, focusing on a range of sex topics, including anal sex, G-spot stimulation and bondage play.

Taormino said she developed the free website not only to educate, but also to help spread the idea that learning about sex should never be embarrassing or furtive.

“I’ve been lecturing on sex topics for several years all across the country, and I think I am in a great position to know what the kind of information today’s sex-positive consumers are looking for,” Taormino said. “I’m hoping to bring some new fun and sensuality into the lives of people of all ages and sexual persuasions.”

Taormino also said Vivid-Ed.com integrates the look and themes of her Vivid-Ed video series. The site features a Q&A page, with all questions answered personally by Taormino, detailed information with accompanying photography and Vivid-Ed trailers, a calendar of sex-ed classes scheduled around the country, and lists of organizations and other resources for sex-related information.

Taormino said she's especially proud of her site's calendar of events page.

"I don't think one like it exists anywhere else on the web, and it should be a good resource for people everywhere," Taormino said. "I am also excited about the community forums because they will be a way for me to interact directly with viewers, fans and people in the sex-positive community. I can't wait to get their feedback and begin a dialogue about the changing face of sex education."
