ATLANTA — Luvu Brands, the manufacturer of Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear, will make an appearance on the second season of HBO’s “Insecure.”
“Insecure” is comedy-drama that follows African-American women navigating work, relationships, and love in Los Angeles. The show was created by writer, actress and director, Issa Rae.
“We are proud to participate in such a groundbreaking show like ‘Insecure,’” said Angela Lieben, marketing manager for Liberator. “We’ve had great success over the past few months earning top placement on network and cable programming and we are excited about the exposure that a show like Insecure brings to the Liberator brand.”
The production company handling the set design for “Insecure” contacted Luvu Brands requesting a number of its best-selling Liberator products for a scene being filmed inside a sex toy convention which will showcase Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear, a representative reported.
“Being a part of the show demonstrates our continued streak of mainstream media appearances in 2017,” said Louis Friedman, company CEO and founder. “We’ve been working hard getting the word out about Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear for quite some time and are now beginning to see the ripple effect of the mainstream coverage in our sales.”
The second season of “Insecure” began airing on July 23. The episode featuring Liberator will air this Sunday, Aug. 27 at 10:30 p.m. (EDT) on HBO.
