Since beginning a promotional campaign last September, Sportsheets has distributed more than 35,000 copies of the instructional disc. The company reports an increase in sales anywhere from 25 to 150 percent for the products that are featured on the video.
“We have always seen a correlation between our consumer education efforts and sales growth,” said Todd Carter, Sportsheets director of sales and marketing. “Our products are tools to help couples expand and improve their sex life. While they are all as easy to use as they are fun to experience, they aren’t necessarily intuitive. Couples who know how easily our products can spice up their sex life will want to own our products, and the DVD facilitates that message.”
The “Sportsheets Demonstration DVD” stars Alektra Blue and does not contain nudity, in keeping with the company’s couples-friendly image.
In addition to coming bundled with some Sportsheets’ products, the DVD also distribution through distributor mailings, trade shows, retailer gift with purchase programs and “Ladies Night” parties.
The DVD contains seven segments, each demonstrating a different Sportsheets product: The Sportsheet, Under The Bed Restraints, I Like It Doggie-Style Strap, The G-Spot Link, Super Sex Sling, and from Sportsheets’ home party line, the Flirt Doggie-Style Strap and the Flirt Sex Sling. Additional products, including leather paddles, body ticklers and blindfolds are highlighted in several segments.
“The DVD is the best way to educate your sales staff about our products,” Carter said. “The more they know, they more knowledge they can share with the end consumer.”
