Girlfriends Films Reaches 100K Twitter Followers

VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has announced it "became the first all-girl porn company" to reach 100K followers on Twitter.

Girlfriends Films first joined Twitter in May 2010, and has since "continued to build its social reputation as a leader in the all-girl adult industry not only when it comes to filmmaking, but with fan interaction," according to studio reps.

According to Moose, president of Girlfriends Films, “Social media plays a vital role in how we communicate with our customers. It allows us to see what they’re looking at and what they like, while giving them the opportunity to message us directly in an informal setting. There’s been a tremendous response to our acknowledgement of what the fans are saying to us via Twitter, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

“We are thrilled to see more new followers interacting with us and with our family of talent on social media,” he added, “and even more pleased that our ride-or-die fans have stuck with us since the beginning. The fans are the reason we’re able to do what we do, and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

And the results are figures "reflecting multi-millions of daily tweet impressions, thousands of new followers per month, and hundreds of likes and retweets per post," according to a studio spokesperson. "While the majority of the company’s tweets comprise announcements of new releases, pairings among performers, photos and video from the set, and links to movie reviews and talent interviews, the marketing department at Girlfriends can also be credited with creating original memes and the signature hashtag #LoveYourGirlfriends."
