Adult star Jack Lawrence told XBIZ that SexZ Pictures wanted to secure the blessing of Hollywood before going ahead with their production of "The Real Boogie Nights."
Fortunately, Ron Jeremy was available to intervene. Jeremy was a consultant on the 1997 movie, and according to Jack Lawrence, he got in touch with key personnel involved with the original movie, who later sent a letter giving their OK for the triple-X spoof.
Cast members from "The Real Boogie Nights" will appear on the KSEX Radio show "Who Wears the Pants?" Hosted by Jack Lawrence, tonight's show will feature the movie's star and director Kurt Lockwood, who will fill in for the show's regular co-host, Gwen Diamond.
The cast includes Sunny Lane as Roller Girl and Amber Lynn as Amber Waves, a character based on her real life experiences from the original P.T. Anderson movie. Ron Jeremy plays Jack Horner. The rest of the cast includes Diamond, Tiffany Price, Hailey Young and Marie Luv, as well as Tee Reel, James Bartolet, Dirty Hairy, Jeff Mullen and Wizzard.
"The Real Boogie Nights" will be available the first week of June.
Jack Lawrence and Gwen Diamond's show "Who Wears the Pants?" airs live on KSEX Radio every Monday at 9 p.m. PDT.
