LAS VEGAS — The two-day Altitude Intimates Show came to a close today with exhibitors praising the event’s new venue and qualified buyers that attended.
Top lingerie brands such as Dreamgirl International, Coquette, Leg Avenue, Rene Rofe, Seven ‘til Midnight, Fantasy Lingerie, among several others were showcased front and center on the show floor.
Magic Silk and Male Power showcased their array of lingerie and underwear styles for men and women. The company recently unveiled new packaging for its Exposed range that features a modern damask pattern, embossing and brilliant spot UV printing. With multiple reps helping clients at its booth, Magic Silk/Male Power President Jeff Baker told XBIZ that the company did great business at the show.
In the “Sexy Studio” area of Altitude’s show floor, pleasure products companies showcased their latest products.
“The Paris is an excellent venue for the show,” Hustler Lingerie’s Zach Goode said. “The after-party [welcome reception] last night was great. This show is a great opportunity to mingle with out top customers. I hope that this event continues to grow and more customers can come check out how the event has changed.”
Paradise Marketing showcased its unique custom condom display unit that allows customers to see the condom unpackaged and unfolded.
“We created these custom displays in hopes of helping brick-and-mortar companies to better showcase condoms and to help their sales,” Paradise Marketing’s Michelle Liss said. “Customers are visual and they also want to touch products, so being able to feel the condoms is essential.”
Liss’ goal at Altitude was to strengthen relationships. “That’s what this industry’s all about,” she said.
Megan Swartz, general manager of Las Vegas’ Deja Vu Love Boutiques, said that Altitude’s modest attendance was beneficial for her business.
“A lot of shows are just saturated by company reps walking the floor and this way it’s a lot easier as a customer,” she said. “It makes doing business a lot easier.”
Having just returned from this weekend’s wildly successful Sex Expo in Brooklyn, N.Y. — which continued to be the buzz on the Altitude show floor — Danielle Seerly from Shibari Wands said Altitude was a fun show where she got the opportunity to connect with her customers.
“We’re excited to showcase our new products, the Beso Sensual Suction Massager and Cherry Kegel Balls. Last night’s poolside party was great. We really enjoy this venue.”
Synergy Erotic’s popular new releases include the Passione G-Supreme and the Prostate Pro Max. The company also unveiled new packaging, which is a departure from its clamshell packaging to box packaging with windows.
“People have been anxiously awaiting for new packaging,” Synergy Erotic’s Bob Wolf said. “Unlike the competition that has generic packaging, each box that we have is tailored to match the product.”
Formerly, Synergy Erotic’s packaging was black, which Wolf says the company is moving away from because it tends to display in dimly lit retail stores.
Cloud 9 Novelties showcased its range of F-Machines front and center, along with new marketing materials for retailers.
“We now offer a motion-sensored video display to help brick and mortar stores,” Williams Trading Co.’s Scott Dantis said. “The F-Machines have gotten a really great reception.”
Also on display is Cloud 9’s new rechargeable Personal Power wand Massager in its Health & Wellness line of products. According to Dantis, the company aims to deliver value by offering full kits, some of which also include products for men. Cloud 9 also has developed a partnership with Alexander Institute to offer customers a VIP card that grants them a free video download.
Inside the Entrenue booth, premium brands such as Fun Factory, b-Vibe, Le Wand, Warm, Dame Products and more, were showcased.
Dame Products showcased the new Eva II that’s available in new colors, and has been revamped to offer a better fit.
“Eva II is 10 percent lighter, smaller and has a more rumbly vibration,” Dame Products’ Savannah Robertson said. “It’s also has ridges for a better grip. It’s gotten a great response at the show, all of Entrenue’s customers have picked it up.”
The Entrenue booth also showcased one of the most popular products at the show — the new Cowgirl premium riding sex machine. It is a sophisticated sex machine that offers fully independent vibration and rotation control with six vibration patterns and 360 swivel rotation with low to high variable speeds. The Cowgirl also can be controlled remotely via Bluetooth through an app.
The Cowgirl is part of COTR Inc.’s growing assortment of brands, which also includes b-Vibe and Le Wand, and is headed up by industry vet and sexpert Alicia Sinclair.
Clean Light Labs showcased its Uvee sanitizing and storage devices at Altitude, where the company highlighted its most recent accomplishments, including obtaining a patent for the Uvee, being named Best New Accessory by Glamour magazine’s Sex Toy Awards and expanding its stable of retailers.
“[Glamour magazine] is the first mainstream consumer recognition that we have received,” said Carrie Martz, the founder of Clean Light Laboratories. “We also recently hit a milestone — there are now about 100 retailers carrying the Uvee and we recently shipped our first item to Australia.”
Nasstoys also showcased its latest releases, including Ozone, Energize and the Real Cocks line, which features realistic, dual density dildos.
“This line is amazing and has been selling really well,” Nasstoys’ Elliott Shwartz said.
