Bluedoor.com Announces 'Tristan's Room,' Contest Winner

PITTSBURGH — Online adult DVD provider BlueDoor.com has announced its partnership with writer and Vivid-Ed director Tristan Taormino, and has launched a weekly column and Q&A section for the site.

Tristan's Room focuses on topics including sex exploration, advice and even personal recommendations for toys and videos. Customers will have the opportunity to write to Taormino and have specific questions answered by the director.

BlueDoor.com's couples-friendly, sex-positive environment, Taormino said, is the perfect platform to share her expertise on sex and relationships.

"It's a match made in porno heaven," she said.

Bluedoor Marketing Manager Courtney Arthur told XBIZ that because BlueDoor.com is a couples-minded site, the company thought Taormino was a perfect fit and wanted her to have her own column in which to share her expertise.

To kick off Tristan's Room, the company teamed with Vivid-Ed to cosponsor a contest that will bring Virginia winner Ami to L.A. — all expenses paid — to be a guest on the set of Taormino's next Vivid-Ed film, "Expert Guide to the G-Spot."

Contestants entered by sending Taormino their best sex questions, and she said she handpicked Ami's from a slew of entries because the question intrigued her and was thoughtful and challenging to answer.

Ami had asked Taormino how to have an "explosive threesome," and its answer is now posted on Tristan's Room.

"I rarely have visitors on my sets," Taormino said, "so this is a unique opportunity for [her]. The experience will be fun, educational and give [her] bragging rights for being in a Vivid movie."
