Manline Sales Manager Benny Neff told XBIZ that this is the first time the collection has been brought directly to its targeted market, establishing the brand within the leather and fetish community.
"IML is an ideal venue to showcase our Hardcore Sportsheet, which was developed specifically for gay men seeking a rougher and tougher bondage experience," said Todd Carter, Sportsheets director of sales and marketing. "You could pretty much say that we developed this product for the people attending the show."
Neff said that the Hardcore design is similar to that of the company's original Sportsheet, except that its straps and hardware are stronger and more heavy-duty to withstand use solely by men. The cuffs are wider and thicker, he said, and double-wrap around the wrist.
"You can't get out of these," Neff said.
At IML, the Sportsheets booth will feature a queen-sized bed set up with the Hardcore Sportsheet, and everyone is welcome to try it out. Manline's special impression paddles — which leave imprints of such words as "slut" and "boy" behind when used — also will be on hand for volunteers to test out.
"You can paddle each other, and tie each other up," Neff said.
Other Manline products available for testing include the Tag Team Double Penetration Harness, the In Your Face Chest Harness and the Drill Sergeant position device.
IML will take place May 24-28. For more information, visit IMRL.com.
