WA Sunset Cruise: Cold But Good Times in Toronto

TORONTO — Following a day filled with seminars and workshops, a large group of Webmaster Access East attendees assembled for a sunset boat cruise on Lake Ontario sponsored by Gallery Traffic Service/P2P Ads that proved a festive — if somewhat frigid — time on the waters.

On top of delectable hors douvres and an open bar, the cruise featured musical entertainment in the form of a four-piece Irish band, which strummed and stomped its way through a variety of folk songs and more modern Irish tunes, all conducive to consumption of the stiff libations being poured on the opposite side of the deck.

Initially reluctant to step out on the dance floor, a few intrepid souls did their best Lord of the Dance impersonation, while others chose the less adventurous course of standing near the bar tapping their feet to the rhythm, and occasionally bellowing along with the lively drinking songs mixed into the set.

The term “sunset cruise” was an apt moniker for the voyage, during which the sun sank below the horizon, yielding a gorgeous view of the Toronto city lights, especially for those with the temperature tolerance necessary to stand outside in the chill.

Numerous residents of Toronto were on board, helpfully pointing out landmarks and sites of interest, including the 1,815-foot Canadian National Tower and the Rogers Centre, home of the local Major League Baseball franchise, the Toronto Blue Jays.

After a little over two hours on the water, the vessel returned its population of boisterous, well-fed and slightly tipsy (or, in a few cases, outright blotto) voyagers to the shore.

While some cruisers struggled mightily with the chilly night air, fortunately for the cleanup crew there were no victims of seasickness, so far as XBIZ was able to discern.
