SAN FRANCISCO — Pink and White Productions has debuted new queer porn studio The Lust Garden, helmed by performer-producer Rococo Royalle, as the newest addition to stream on its indie adult film hub PinkLabel.tv.
According to a rep, The Lust Garden forgoes consumer-driven production in favor of collaborating with cast to create unique performer-driven content.
“The Lust Garden was born out of frustration as a non-binary performer,” Royalle said. “I got tired of being told what was marketable, what my sexuality was supposed to look like, and who got to take up space.” Royalle continues, “I think about all the ways I've been disillusioned or mistreated on sets and try to create spaces that validate and support performers instead. We want to create safe spaces that folx can really thrive in, and content that performers can be totally proud of at the end.”
Studios like The Lust Garden find a home on PinkLabel.tv, which strives to support emerging and independent adult filmmakers — an increasing number of which have experience on both sides of the camera as producers and performers, a spokesperson reported.
Royalle welcomes the new distribution with PinkLabel.tv, recognizing the site's diverse curation and neutral marketing of adult films.
“PinkLabel.TV is one of the first places I send my friends when they ask for ethical porn recommendations and I'm really honored that they'll be able to see my work there next to all these other breathtaking films,” Royalle concluded.
A spokesperson said, “Despite their newness to the industry, The Lust Garden is quickly establishing themselves as a studio to watch. Their movies have screened at the celebrated PornFilmFestival Berlin, TEMPT Fest in Los Angeles, the “Bodies on Display” in Atlanta, and Porny Days Film Festival in Zurich. With more films on the way, the emerging company is well positioned.”
