NEW YORK — Layton Benton made an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” during its radiothon #Change4Change charity event and donated $500 to Colon Kaepernick’s organization.
According to a rep, “The Breakfast Club” raised over $700,000 for The Gathering for Justice Organization during its 18-hour radiothon.
“I actually donate to charity quite often because I believe it’s good karma, I’ve been very fortunate in my life and I want good things to happen to other people too,” Benton said. “But this is the first time my philanthropy has been out in public, I usually believe in giving for the sake of giving which means donating in private, but I love host Angela Yee and wanted to participate in this special day of great radio.
“I am proud to be a part of #Change4Change and I am moved by the amount of money that was raised by The Breakfast Club,” she added. “They are an amazing group of people who always spread the love.”
