Alan ran the sales department at Anabolic for 15 years, since 1992. Diabolic was created as a separate company in 1998. Alan’s last day with Anabolic is today.
While Alexander would not directly address the circumstances leading to Alan’s departure, he told XBIZ that the two remain friends, and that Alan will continue to run Diabolic from the same building the two companies share.
“We’re very friendly, and will continue to share this building that Greg and I built from the ground up,” Alexander said. “All my energies at this time are focused on Anabolic.”
To replace Alan as Anabolic’s director of sales, Alexander hired Dan M, formerly head salesman for Pleasure Productions, and most recently, Jules Jordan Video.
“I’m very excited about the future of Anabolic with the team that is currently in place,” Alexander said. “Dan M has a great rapport with customers and is proven to be a dynamic salesmen as he’s shown in his other jobs. I believe he’ll be a big factor in our future growth. I’m looking forward to re-establishing the Anabolic brand with the great team we have in place.”
In related company news, director Ricky D has resigned from Diabolic and has signed an exclusive multi-year contract with Anabolic. Ricky D helmed numerous lines for Diabolic, including “Incumming,” “2 on 1,” “Ass For Days” and “Hot Sauce.” He got his start in the adult industry working as an editor for Extreme Associates.
Anabolic and Diabolic used to share directors, but with the split, that arrangement has ceased.
“As great as we’ve been in the past, we’re looking to be even more cutting edge with our team of directors,” Alexander said. “Ricky’s work speaks for itself. His artistic vision for what looks great and his passion for capturing intensity and getting the most out of the performers is attributable to his youth. He brings a freshness that’s not seen in very many directors.”
Ricky D’s first movie under contract with Anabolic is “Sweet & Petite 3,” which streets on May 29.
All directors employed by Anabolic are under exclusive contract. They include Ricky D’s brother Ivan, Tony T, Robby Digital, Ken Dark and numerous foreign directors.
