MONTREAL — Gamma Entertainment and its studios Girlsway and Pure Taboo have earned 12 XBIZ Awards.
"Thank you so much to XBIZ for recognizing Girlsway, Gamma Films and our new studio Pure Taboo this year,” said Bree Mills, director, producer and Gamma Films’ head of production. She took home Director of the Year — Body of Work and Director of the Year — Feature Release.
Gamma Entertainment president Karl Bernard was also honored with the Industry Pioneer Award-Web and Technology for his long-term achievement within the industry.
Lesbian erotica studio and content site Girlsway.com won All-Girl Site of the Year for Girlsway.com, while its all-star fantasy “Vampires” picked up an XBIZ Award for All-Girl Release of the Year — Feature.
Forbidden-lust themed Pure Taboo received an astonishing seven awards, six of which were for its wildly popular series “Half His Age: A Teenage Tragedy” — including Feature Movie of the Year, Best Actor-Feature Release for Charles Dera, Best Supporting Actress for Kristen Scott, Best Supporting Actor for Small Hands, Best Cinematography and Best Editing — while PureTaboo.com picked up an award for Best New Studio/Line.
