LOS ANGELES — Forbes has named Lovely CEO Jakub Konik to its prestigious “30 Under 30” list, an annual roundup recognizing business and industry figures across different sectors, with winners selected by a group of judges.
The 29-year-old Konik was nominated for founding and running Lovely Inc., the company behind the Lovely sexual health product.
According to the company, Lovely is a cock ring and app that improves a couple’s sex life by giving them personalized tips and suggestions of new positions, stimulation techniques and other sex-related ideas based on their desires and data from Lovely sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) to diversify and improve their sex life. It even tells couples how many calories they burned during sex.
“Getting on [Forbes’] list is something I’ve never expected, given we’re a perceived as a sex toy company,” Konik says. “It shows that the whole industry is closer and closer to mainstream adoption and we are at the forefront of this change with Lovely and our mission.”
“I’m very excited and proud of our team — they made this happen,” Konik adds. “We will continue our work to make every couple’s sex life even better.”
The panel of judges included Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon; Alessandra Rossi, President Off Season of Yoox Net-A-Porter Group; and Rare Carat founder Ajay Anand, who appreciated Lovely’s mission “to help all people have great sex with the use of cutting edge technology.”
“Basically,” Konik concludes, “Lovely learns what a given couple enjoys in bed and helps them to enjoy each other even more.”
