Nightshift.co Shuts Down Site After SESTA's Passage

LOS ANGELES — Another adult portal has bitten the dust after SESTA’s passage.

Escort site Nightshift.co said that “in light of the bill passing, Nightshift will be shutting down for the interim to review our policies and protect our loyal customers.”

SESTA, which awaits President Trump's signature, aims to battle sex trafficking by making websites responsible for activity conducted through personal pages.

The legislation, aka SESTA/FOSTA, targets sites that “promote or facilitate” prostitution, even in jurisdictions where prostitution is legal. Individuals operating those sites could face up to 10 years in prison, according to the bill on Trump’s desk.

Craigslist and Reddit, which run personals listings and messaging boards, last week shuttered relevant sections of those sites.

Escort site CityVibe.com closed its shop after passage of the bill. Now, Nightshift has gone blank.

On its platform, Nightshift.co said: “We have been humbled to receive your support and we hope to serve you again in the near future. Nightshift believes that the community is better when we can come together and provide a safe environment for people to share and connect. Thank you for being a part of the community.”

Prior to the site’s closing yesterday, Nightshift.co offered all types of escort and massage listings via VIP and private forums focused primarily in California.
