Marc Dorcel to Oversee Playboy TV Europe

PARIS — Playboy TV has announced its enlistment of media company Marc Dorcel to manage its television business, including linear channel programming, plus exclusive distribution and management of the VOD content offering.

According to the company, the move covering Europe (except the U.K., Spain and Portugal), as well as Africa and Middle East, commences May 1 and is intended to expand and develop its regional presence.

“As Playboy TV explored potential partners, Marc Dorcel was the clear choice to program Playboy TV Europe to meet the high expectations of our viewers while leveraging their vast industry experience to enhance the channel for the local market,” Playboy TV President Gary Rosenson said. “Marc Dorcel also brings to the partnership strong relationships with local operators to ensure the channel delivers the experience expected of the brand.”

Playboy TV’s programming will continue to offer the best of the brand’s library and will now also include select content from Marc Dorcel’s deep catalog of featured titles along with new content produced in Europe to appeal to the local audience.

“We are happy to foster the emblematic brand of Playboy TV in Europe. We will use all our local expertise to fulfill one goal: make Playboy TV Europe as attractive as possible for the European viewers,” Marc Dorcel CEO Gregory Dorcel said.  “We share many of the same universal values and we are happy to bring this to life through content to the widest audience by leveraging Playboy TV’s brand power with our European know-how.”
