HDNet's 'Deadline!' Talks to Adult Stars at Adultcon

LOS ANGELES — Katie Daryl, host of "Deadline!" on cable TV programming service HDNet, interviewed adult stars at the Adultcon convention in March for a segment in the episode airing June 15 and 16. "Deadline!" is a half-hour lifestyle-oriented show focusing on "sexy, bizarre, and interesting stories" from around the world.

"Katie went to speak to the adult stars," Producer Stephenie Ratke told XBIZ. "She asked how they came up with their names and she comes up with her own porn star name. We looked at the glass sex toys, and she ends up grabbing the boob of a porn star."

The Adultcon story is the first adult-industry segment since a porn-awards story a few years ago, Ratke said. "We do a lot of different, bizarre things. We would be interested in doing more adult-industry stuff, but we like to space it out."

"Deadline!" airs Friday and Saturday nights on HDNet. For more information, visit the "Deadline!" website.
