CalExotics, Scala Ink Exclusive E.U. Distro Deal

LOS ANGELES — CalExotics and international distributor Scala have inked a distro deal to make Scala the official distributor of CalExotics and Jopen products in 26 countries in the European Union.

“This is the biggest exclusive deal in CalExotics history,” says Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics.

According to the company, recent changes at Scala inspired the two companies to make a strong partnership and consolidate distribution channels in the E.U.

 “Scala has been an invaluable partner for us for many years and we are thrilled to work exclusively with them,” says Jackie White, executive vice president of CalExotics.

As an exclusive distributor, Scala says it will focus on promoting the CalExotics brand within the E.U. The company will bring in a CalExotics brand ambassador to help further support the partnership.

Walter Kroes, director at Scala says, “CalExotics is a world-class brand, and we plan to do all that we can to promote it. Our brand ambassador will be an asset to our team and for our retail customers.”

According to the companies, under the partnership, retailers and customers throughout the E.U. will see consistency in product pricing and availability. They can also expect customer service and support from Scala and CalExotics, which will work together as a one-stop shop to ensure retailer partners have access to everything CalExotics has to offer. This includes marketing material, collateral, product information, and more.

“We’re already started working on exclusive content and material for our customers. We can’t wait to expand the CalExotics brand,” says Trudy Pijnacker, director at Scala.
