Michael Avenatti: Stormy Daniels Arrested at Ohio Club, Bust Was 'Politically Motivated'

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Stormy Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, says that the adult superstar was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, while feature dancing at a local strip club.

Avenatti posted on Twitter, "Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta"

In another tweet, Avenatti claimed Daniels was arrested for allowing a customer to touch her onstage in a "non sexual manner." Avenatti wrote, "Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!! #SetUp #Basta."

Ohio law prohibits employees who regularly appear “nude or seminude on the premises of a sexually oriented business” from touching patrons who are not family members while nude or seminude at that business. Violations of the law are considered a misdemeanor, according to state law.

This year Daniels has made headlines on a daily basis. The adult star, who will host the 2019 XBIZ Awards in January, has filed two suits against President Trump.
