HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ryan Driller is the subject of a profile for Men’s Health titled “How to Become a Male Porn Star.” Fellow performer Small Hands is also interviewed.
Driller, a multi-XBIZ Awards winner, speaks to writer Jeremy Glass about what adult performers are paid, as well as “how guys must perform for hours under hot lights with a crew watching."
Small Hands notes it was his wife, Joanna Angel, who looped him into the industry. Driller, however, chalks it up to “dumb luck.”
“You can’t ask another guy to get you in. You can’t ask studios to try you out," he reveals. "You can’t get a girl to bring you in. Most of the time."
Driller's formula for success: “Getting hard, lasting the time required and popping when they need you to. Your face, your look, are all not important."
The men also cover stamina, penis size, versatility as a performer and the stigma that can follow adult performers.
Guys ask Driller “every day” about how to break into adult entertainment. “I do my best to inform them of the reality of the industry,” he said. “I hope the article will send the message of how hard it really is. It’s a great read.”
