NEW YORK — Pornhub announced today its collaboration with the creators of Cyanide & Happiness, the hit webcomic, to debut a porn-themed expansion pack for its popular explicit card game, Joking Hazard.
Dubbed “Stroking Hazard,” the new expansion pack features 50 new cards of the beloved Cyanide & Happiness duo in “jaw-dropping” sexual scenarios, according to Corey Price, Pornhub’s vice president.
“When Cyanide & Happiness approached us to collaborate on an expansion pack, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to connect with our community in an unexpected and entertaining way,” Price said. “Plus, our community is known for having an incredible sense of humor — just look at our comments section — so we knew that Stroking Hazard would be right up their alley and will surely be a hit amongst them.”
Price said that Pornhub’s Stroking Hazard expansion pack adds a fun, more sexual twist to the original Joking Hazard game, which was inspired by Cyanide & Happiness’ Random Comic Generator.
During the game, players choose cards to complete a three-panel comic from a deck with millions of possible combinations. One player is considered a judge and everyone else puts their favorite panel for the final part of the comic. The judge ultimately chooses their favorite and that person is the winner. Players who now use Pornhub’s expansion pack will be able to compose hilariously raunchy narratives to give them a leg up on their competition and score points more easily.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve our game and make it more enjoyable for our fans. For the longest time we wanted to introduce a funny, sex-themed expansion pack and knew we should call it ‘Stroking Hazard,’” said Ron DenBleyker, co-creator of Cyanide & Happiness. “Knowing Pornhub’s brand and their willingness to collaborate with unique brands, it made for the perfect fit. These porn-themed cards are so erotic they should be banned everywhere except Utah, where they are needed the most.”
Cyanide & Happiness first conceived the idea for Joking Hazard in 2016 and soon thereafter posted the campaign to Kickstarter.
The campaign successfully secured a total of $3,246,588 from 63,758 backers, making it the second most-funded card game in Kickstarter history.
