Pink & White Debuts Cinema Series 'PinkLabel.TV Presents'

SAN FRANCISCO – Pink & White Productions has unveiled “PinkLabel.TV Presents,” a brick-and-mortar cinema screening series in the Bay Area with a focus on erotic films.

“Porn connoisseurs” are invited to “come together and enjoy erotic films like they did in adult’s golden days — at the cinema! Hand-curated to pair diverse themes with altruistic pursuits,” a rep said, “PinkLabel.TV screenings benefit community organizations and shines a spotlight on the site’s eclectic adult film catalogue.”

The screening series, which is 18-and-older with identification, kicks off Sunday, Nov. 18 at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Calif. The inaugural film is director Cheryl Dunye’s “Mommy is Coming,” billed as “a sassy, raunchy, romantic sex comedy set in the edgy underground of Berlin.” The film has screened around the world and has earned plaudits from the Feminist Porn Awards.

“Mommy is Coming” will be preceded by a quartet of shorts: “Tribute” and “Crystal Clear” by Max Disgrace; “Orgy #001” from AORTA Films; and “Birthday” by PinkLabel.TV curator Shine Louise Houston.

"If you screen them, they will come,” a rep said. “But let’s keep the sex on-screen only, please! Following in the footsteps of local and international adult film festivals, and in the legacy of the San Francisco’s iconic Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre, the screening series aims to provide a place where creators and film buffs can appreciate creative works that challenge social preconceptions of porn and sexuality.”

Proceeds benefit the Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP). The org “creates, exhibits and distributes high-impact films that reflect the lives of queer women of color and non-binary/transgender people of color, of any orientation, and address the intersecting social justice issues that concern our communities. QWOCMAP nurtures filmmakers as artist-activist leaders for social change." Visit them online and on Twitter.
