Sex Workers Outreach Project L.A. Fights to Save Cuties Café

LOS ANGELES — Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) L.A. has announced it will host the upcoming Harmonia // A Harvest Party to save Cuties Coffee.

According to veteran adult performer and SWOP supporter Phoenix Dawn, Cuties is an LGBTQ focused social meeting space for not only for the adult community but for the youth of L.A., which is extremely important to save.

Located at 710 N Heliotrope Drive near Vermont and Melrose, Cuties Coffee has made a positive impact on the LGBTQ community in the year since its launch by Virginia Bauman and Iris Bainum-Houle, but has had to rely on Patreon fundraisers and other efforts to offset its operating and community activity costs, reportedly requiring monthly membership donations of $12,000 to remain open.

An outgrowth of the monthly “Queers, Coffee & Donuts” get together, Cuties Coffee hosts a range of events targeting younger members of the community, with partnerships including salons that provide haircuts, as well as housing, clothing and toiletry services that make a difference in the lives of youth.

The event is set for this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Faultline, 4216 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, and will feature music and performances by Suga Shay, Kathi Kneiss, Gina Kuhn, Paisley, Dorian Electra, Jaake Castro, Tito Bonito, Bella Bathory, Ti To and more.

Brunch vendors boasting pumpkin waffles; drink specials including bottomless mimosas; a pumpkin carving station; bobbing for dildos; a fall photobooth and more will add to the fun as attendees support this worthwhile cause.
