LAS VEGAS – “Puppetry of the Penis,” billed as the Australian art of genital origami, is marking a performance milestone with its residency at the Erotic Heritage Museum (EHM) in Las Vegas.
The show celebrates its 777th performance Saturday, Oct. 27. “One could easily say that this particular show has enjoyed a very long extension at the venerable Las Vegas sex museum,” a rep said.
“Puppetry of the Penis,” originally created and produced by Simon Morley in 1996, began its EHM residency in April 2014.
“The two-man performance, which has enjoyed audience-shrieking sell-outs in London, New York and Paris,” the rep notes, “introduced such terms as ‘The Pelican’ ‘The Windsurfer,’ ‘The Eiffel Tower’ and their signature creation, ‘The Hamburger’ into testicular twisting vernacular. ‘Puppetry of the Penis’ has found a home in Sin City, and at the EHM especially, and will surely see the show running well beyond its 777th performance this Saturday. “
“People really do go nuts for this show!”
“Whether a fun audition — with the boss asking, ‘Where are my penises?’ — or night after night of fun and frivolity, having ‘Puppetry of the Penis’ in residence here at the EHM has been a highlight of the last several years. We look forward to the future and growing with them,” said Dr. Victoria Hartmann, director of the EHM.
