'Sex with Emily' to Launch on SiriusXM Radio

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Emily Morse, founder and host of the “Sex with Emily” podcast, announced today that she has finalized a deal to bring her show to SiriusXM satellite radio and on-demand platforms.

Beginning Nov. 12, “Sex with Emily” will air live on SiriusXM Stars channel 109, Monday through Friday at 5 p.m., PST.

Morse had previously hosted her own show on FM radio in San Francisco and was a regular co-host of the nationally syndicated “Loveline” with Dr. Drew. All the while, she was independently producing her “Sex with Emily” podcast, which has run continuously since 2005 and will carry on alongside the new SiriusXM show.

Driven to advise and improve people’s sex lives by making the topic comfortable and easy to talk about, Morse coined the phrase “Communication is a Lubrication.”

“I’m passionate about changing the way people think and talk about sex,” Morse said. “When listeners hear me answering questions and giving advice without judgment or shame, they realize their concerns are universal — and that they really do have the power to improve things. I’m grateful to SiriusXM for the opportunity to inspire such a large audience — it’s like a dream come true.”

“Sex with Emily” joins a lineup on the platform’s Stars channel 109 that includes Jenny McCarthy, Michelle Collins, Jenny Koppelman Hutt, Maria Menounos, and Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

The new daily, two-hour live show will incorporate many of Sex with Emily’s popular segments, interviews, and insights along with the addition of live calls. Opening the phone lines, answering questions, and offering advice to an audience that spans all of North America (and beyond) is what Morse says she is most looking forward to.

“I love making personal connections,” Morse said. “When I’m able to hear their voice and really listen to what they’re saying, I become immersed in the caller’s situation. Knowing I’ve got two hours every day to answer listeners’ questions is such a privilege!”

Beyond the impact it’s had on listeners over the years, Morse’s podcast has become a springboard for many adult products and brands. Morse’s fun, friendly presentation style combined with her credentials as a doctor of human sexuality has created a popular outlet for the industry’s B2C outreach.

“No other primetime personality speaks about sex the way Emily does,” Sex with Emily COO Ken Herskovitz explains. “Her listeners quickly become comfortable with a topic that many other shows present in a sensationalized way. It’s not taboo or ‘after dark’ - it’s just Emily talking about sex like any other topic. Sharing that attitude with millions of SiriusXM subscribers is an amazing step forward for this industry.”

The “Sex with Emily” radio show can be heard on SiriusXM Stars channel 109 beginning Nov. 12, and the podcast of the same name airs every Tuesday and Friday on all platforms including iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, and SexWithEmily.com. For more information, email marketing@sexwithemily.com.
