SAN FRANCISCO — Vibease has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its latest development in women’s pleasure products, the Smart Lipstick featuring voice-controlled artificial intelligence.

Paired with an app, the Smart Lipstick can be controlled remotely by a long-distance partner or by the in-app virtual partner. The virtual partner responds to the user’s voice with both verbal responses and vibrations. It will vibrate faster or slower based on what the user requests to provide a hands-free experience.

“When we saw the movie ‘Her,’ we were inspired,” the company said. “We thought long and hard about how we could apply that same technology idea to a vibrator, once again seeking to combine the physical and mental aspects that led us to success with our first product. So, we decided our next vibrator should ‘come to life.’ And thus, the Vibease Smart Lipstick was born. And now, we’re ready to change the pleasure game all over again.”

The Smart Lipstick also syncs with erotic and romance audiobooks, including hundreds to choose from in the Vibease app. It is iOS and Android-compatible, USB-rechargeable and as the name suggests, is discreetly shaped like a purse-friendly lipstick.

"We’re all about empowering women to take control of what makes them feel good and bring out their inner beauty," the company said. "The Smart Lipstick was designed for women by women. It’s all about what women want and need for maximum sexual pleasure and wellness."

Vibease is offering early-bird preorder specials for the Smart Lipstick beginning at $59. The vibe is set to ship in December.
