Judge Sets Trial Date Set for Former Adult Star Lynn Pleasant

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Lynn Pleasant, the former adult star booked on murder-for-hire charges, has pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts.

Pleasant entered the plea on Wednesday in federal court in Coeur d'Alene; a federal judge set a trial date for March 4 and ordered her to remain in custody.

The former adult performer, who later in her career worked in the cam biz, was picked up the U.S. Marshals Service in mid-December after arriving on a flight at Spokane International Airport.

Pleasant was held at Spokane County Jail in Washington state and later transferred to Coeur D’Alene in Idaho. She lives in Post Falls, Idaho.

She is charged with five counts of using interstate commerce facilities, such as a phone or email, in the commission of a murder-for-hire scheme, which allegedly took shape “on or about Oct. 20,” according to a federal indictment.

Pleasant could face up to 10 years of imprisonment if convicted. She could also potentially pay a $250,000 fine for each count against her.

Pleasant shot more than four dozen titles for numerous studios — Kick Ass Pictures, Hush Hush Entertainment, Karups, Dogfart and others — from 2004-2011. In recent years, she cammed on iFriends.net. That site closed shop several months ago.

Authorities have not yet released the first and last name of the intended victim or described the motive behind the alleged scheme, but Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci Whelan said that the plot targeted an Idaho resident. The alleged victim was never harmed.

Prosecutors described Pleasant as a “serious risk of flight and danger to the community” and has been held without bail since her arrest.

A federal public defender, Amy Rubin, has been appointed to defend Pleasant in the case.
