LOS ANGELES — Trans recording artist Alissah Brooks has been tapped to perform at the 2019 Transgender Erotica Awards (TEAs).
"Alissah has three popular singles available for purchase on iTunes: ‘Dope Shit’ featuring J. Tyler, ‘I’m That Girl’ and ‘Bounce It.’ She has appeared on MTV’s “Teen Wolf” and VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” as well as in the film “Good Deeds” from Tyler Perry. In 2015, Brooks was briefly part of musical girl group, The Secret Girls,” a rep said.
Brooks is also an activist and has worked with GLAAD to raise awareness related to issues that affect the transgender community. In 2016, she was presented with Georgia Voice Best of Atlanta honors as top transgender activist of the year.
"I’m that girl that makes the best go boom,” said Brooks.
"We’re thrilled to have Alissah perform at our upcoming show next month,” said TEAs Executive Producer Kristel Penn. “As an event that celebrates the accomplishments of our trans adult community, it’s certainly not a requirement we feature a trans entertainer, but we do want to include trans people and allies as part of our show as much as possible. We want this to be a celebration of our community in every sense of the word."

The TEAs and related events will be held March 15-17 at the Avalon Hollywood venue, as well as Bardot nightclub, located within Avalon Hollywood. The show schedule includes a pre-party March 15 at the Bardot and a daytime fan convention on March 16, followed by the awards ceremony on March 17 at the Avalon Hollywood, hosted by Domino Presley. Natassia Dreams has been set as a red carpet host.
