'Shameless Sex' Podcast Hosts 'Self-Pleasure Challenge' on Instagram

LOS ANGELES — Weekly sex-positive podcast “Shameless Sex will be hosting a “Self-Pleasure 30-Day Challenge” on Instagram in celebration of Masturbation May 2019.

Hosts April Lampert and Amy Baldwin are encouraging fans to participate in a minimum of 10 minutes of self-pleasure every day and submit their experiences for a chance to win a number of prizes throughout the month of May.

“Every ten days we will ask participants to send an anonymous photo of themselves — much like we did for our ‘Female Sexuality Myth and Shame-busting’ Instagram campaign — where they hold up a sign over their faces written with ten words or less, describing your week’s experience,” explained Lampert.

The key to the challenge is for participants to explore self-pleasure without the help of porn or toys by using only their hands to get off.

“The intention is to highlight the power of self-pleasuring as a self-care practice that can lead to deeper connection to one's body/sexuality, as well as open up the doors for new and more pleasure,” said Lampert.

Those who join in the “Self-Pleasure 30-Day Challenge” will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win the grand prize, which includes a Hot Octopuss Duo, Uberlube, access to OMGyes, access to the “Shameless Sex” online workshop and a session with a Sexological Bodyworker.

A number of runner-ups will also win access to the “Shameless Sex” workshop and other prizes.

The duo hope that the Challenge will help to further de-stigmatize masturbation and empower participants to have healthy self-care habits.
