LONDON, U.K. — British adult industry cycling club Porn Pedallers (PPCC) held a launch party tonight at East London cycle bar and café Look Mum No Hands! to unveil their updated roster of sponsors.
PPCC received many endorsements after the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the sport’s international governing body, objected to their adult industry affiliation.
Returning sponsors include Television X HD, age verification specialists VeriMe, AVYourself and Age Checked, Platinum Lace Gentlemen’s Clubs, BabeStationCams and Pascal’s Sub Sluts. New sponsors include the AdultWork.com website, personal massager brand Doxy, fetish events Future Parties and Zaucey.com.
“International press coverage has raised the club’s profile and seen it connect with the mainstream cycling industry,” said a rep. Premium cycling apparel brand Le Col, founded by ex-pro cyclist Yanto Barker, has redesigned the club’s custom kit for the 2019 season.
PPCC also reaffirmed its commitment to fundraising for HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust. Club founder Chris Ratcliff has been outspoken in his views on the importance of protecting the health and welfare of performers within the adult industry, fighting the stigma associated with HIV and promoting a safe sex message to the public at large.
“The awareness raising and fundraising that Chris and the team are doing makes such a huge difference to people living with and affected by HIV,” said India Turner-Lees, Head of Community and Events Fundraising at Terrence Higgins Trust. “The money raised will help us deliver vital services to help us end the HIV epidemic, improve sexual health and empower people to live well with HIV. We’re delighted that the Porn Pedallers’ Cycling Club have decided to support us again and we’re wishing them the best of luck in all of their rides this year.”
Next month’s #AtlanticStreak, described as “an epic ride down the west coast of France,” will see six club members, including porn star Tindra Frost, bikepack 900+ miles from Roscoff in Brittany, France, to Santander, Northern Spain, over 9 days unsupported.
