XRCO Awards Honor 'Deadpool XXX' as 2019's Best Parody

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures scored big at the 35th annual XRCO Awards Show last Thursday evening, taking home the title of Best Parody for the breakout hit "Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," starring Seth Gamble, Jessica Drake and Brad Armstrong.

Additionally director Braun also received the organization's Best Director-Parody award for the title.

Having already been named the Comedy Release of the Year at the 2019 XBIZ Awards, this new accolade solidifies "Deadpool XXX's" status as a top contender in the 2019 awards season.

Braun's other blockbuster of 2019, "The Possession of Mrs. Hyde," earned Avi Love the XRCO’s Best Actress trophy, a title she also scored at the 2019 XBIZ Awards earlier this year for her stunning performance in the titular role.

Hosted by Welsh star Sophie Dee and award-winning actor Prince Yahshua, the industry-only soiree was held at the storied Hollywood hotspot Boardner's by La Belle. Rising stars Gabbie Carter and Sophia Lux served as the evening's trophy girls.

“Being recognized by the X-Rated Critics Organization is always a tremendous honor,” said Braun. ”But as much as I would love to take full credit for it, 'Deadpool XXX' is a parody that owes its success entirely to Seth Gamble’s incredible performance, so these awards really belong to him as well. I am just lucky to still be a part of the conversation after almost 30 years in the business, and to be able to work with people I love, and with a company that not only gives me the creative freedom to film projects I can be proud of, but also allows me to have a superstar like Jessica Drake in my movies."

"A big thank you to Steve Orenstein and everybody at Wicked Pictures, and a special shout out to my fellow contract director Brad Armstrong, who graciously lent not only his considerable acting talent, but also his costuming skills to this movie," continued Braun.

"In the end, what I always value and cherish above everything is the filmmaking experience — awards are the much-appreciated icing on the cake.”

Wicked Pictures congratulates all of 2019's XRCO award winners.
