CYBERSPACE — Pornhub has released a new BTS interview with mainstream performer, model and social media influencer Bella Thorne, who was tapped as a “Visionary Director” by the tube site to produce “Her & Him,” a sexually explicit short with Abella Danger and Small Hands.
The 21-year-old first-time director — known as a film and TV actress since 2003, when she was six years old — told the Pornhub Premium crew that she started off wanting to do a “Christmas horror movie,” but ended up with “this beautiful, ethereal, neon-type of vision.”
“Her & Him” is slated to debut next month at the Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany, known as “the German Sundance.” It is the third short under the Pornhub Visionary Director's initiative, enabling “unexpected” guest directors to “diversify porn production.”
Pornhub VP Corey Price describes Thorne’s short as "modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have an unbridled sexual longing for each other. Their love is reckless and dangerous and transcends time and space."
"Bella's creativity and imagination is personified through the course of the film, as she takes viewers on a journey of passion and desire,” Price added.
Top adult male talent Small Hands told XBIZ that working under Thorne's direction "was a unique experience that I am thankful to be part of."
"Bella was down to earth, open-minded and approachable as a person and director," said Small Hands, "which made the whole experience a blast. She was immersed in every detail, from the plot to the sex. She did not shy away from any detail. The finished film is absolute fire."
Several mainstream outlets picked up the news item, reveling salaciously in the contrast between Thorne's past as “a Disney kid” and her present self as a young woman with an interest in sexuality. Thorne last month told "Good Morning America" she identified as “pansexual.”
Sitting in a fanciful pink room in front of a large, lifelike dinosaur, Thorne explained her interest in “dominance and submission” and her experience with the two top-level adult performers, especially considering she had no experience shooting what she called “real live fucking” before.
“If you think that porn is uncomfortable,” Thorne explained in her video interview, “I’m sorry that you are uncomfortable but don’t make other people feel uncomfortable for being ok with it because at the end of the day it is sex and it is something that the human body wants, that it needs, it constantly craves for it and it’s just a very understandable thing."
"And if you’re scared of it," Thorne added, "that’s fine, to each their own, but don’t tear somebody else down because they’re confident about their sexuality and they’re ok to admit that.”
