NEW YORK — New York's buzzworthy queer techno fetish party, Bound, will make its return to Los Angeles on September 21 with a fundraiser for the Tom of Finland Foundation, hosted by the trans performer and activist, Buck Angel.
Scheduled for next Saturday from 10 p.m. (PDT) at the Faultline Bar in Los Angeles, the evening will include live music sets from Minimal Violence, Marshstepper and Fee Lion, with additional performances from the LA-based multidisciplinary artist Latex Lucifer and Bound founder, Katie Rex, and "fetish experiences" and performances throughout the night.
"This is Bound's second time in Los Angeles, our first being a warehouse party last October in collaboration with Restless Nites," said Rex.
Since its launch in 2016, Bound has hosted quarterly parties predominantly in Brooklyn with several touring events scheduled in cities around the country.
"Bound began as an intentional BDSM-flavored space away from the gaze of cis-men, and has since grown into a lifestyle platform with a radio [channel], music label, fetishwear guide and a focus on sex worker advocacy," explained Rex.
"For this event, we're fundraising for the Tom of Finland Foundation and we are so excited to have Buck Angel hosting and supporting his CBD-infused intimacy drink 'Buck Shot.'
Profits from the event will be donated to the Tom of Finland Foundation, an organization dedicated to the conservation and promotion of erotic art. Half of ticketing fees for the event will be donated by ticketing platform Resident Advisor.
"Tom of Finland and Bound share many ideologies pertaining to sex work, fetish culture and creating educational, exploratory spaces, [so] we're excited to activate again in the L.A. community by collaborating," said Rex.
