HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Amberly Rothfield has posted an investigation into Twitter hashtags and shadowbanning that examines how the practice directly impacts the adult industry. Her preliminary findings can be found on her membership site.
The bestselling author, entrepreneur and sexpert has a mission to teach independent performers how to effectively promote and market themselves; a primary tool for this work is Twitter.
“Amberly has been hard at work on her investigation,” a rep said. “The idea is to expose what Twitter is doing to the adult industry with their shadowbanning practices and change the current climate. The video is a look into exactly what’s going on and exposes how many Tweets are actually seen, versus shadowbanned, from companies like Clips4Sale and ManyVids.”
Rothfield expressed excitement about the results of her research. “I can’t wait to show more of my findings. Shadowbanning is causing a lot of problems in our industry. I hope my research will bring some vital points to light and change social media biases,” she said.
