LOS ANGELES — Voodoo has launched “Oral Fixation,” a new podcast recorded in Los Angeles that focuses on the challenges and triumphs of sex, kinks, dating relationships — and vibrators.
“Oral Fixation” follows hosts, Sally Cotching, Voodoo brand manager, and body-positive model Aspen Cristi, Voodoo marketing specialist, as they explore all topics related to sex and dating with nothing off-limits. Special guests include comedians, sex workers, educators and activists who offer their personal stories and perspectives.
“We see the podcast as a way for us to connect with consumers directly, and it’s an integral part of Voodoo’s mission to break down the stigmas surrounding female pleasure and masturbation,” said Kevin Mirarchi, Voodoo founder and CEO. “Through hearing other people's experiences, we’re building a community that feels they can learn and explore perceived ‘taboo’ topics in a safe place without judgment, thanks to Voodoo.”
The “Oral Fixation” podcast is available for listening on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Soundcloud and YouTube. New episodes will be released every Wednesday evening. For more information, visit Voodoo.toys/oral-fixation.
Aspen Cristi is a body-positive model with a background in retail, beauty and skincare. According to Voodoo, she’s now diving headfirst into the pleasure industry.
“For so long the expression of sexual liberation has been frowned upon in relation to women/femmes,” Cristi said. It's a fact: We like to have sex too! Talking about sex in a positive and safe way opens the door for honest conversations that are necessary. Creating a space that prioritizes women, led by women and for women is powerful. Educating others through experience and facts is a beautiful way to establish a strong foundation in the category of sexual wellness and liberation. It's an honor to facilitate a dialogue with women any and everywhere, where judgment and prejudice will not be tolerated.”
Aside from being Voodoo’s brand manager, Cotching is “an Aussie living in L.A.” and will share her “experiences of miscommunications and different cultural norms when it comes to sex and dating as an Australian in the U.S.”
“Our customers often want more information on how to use their Voodoo toys or how to introduce them to their partner, and learn about ways to broaden their sexual knowledge,” she said. “The podcast is a fun way for us to explore these topics in-depth, and hopefully leave listeners with some fun facts to take away or a fresh perspective.”
