LOS ANGELES — Darcie Dolce is not content to be any one thing, inside or outside of adult. In a new, wide-ranging interview with XRentDVD, Dolce touches on her decision to only perform G/G scenes, her transition to directing and her mainstream career as a professional DJ.
"I've only fucked two dudes in my whole life," Dolce said about her decision to perform exclusively with other women. "It's just not as explicit. It's not frowned upon as much; not frowned upon within the adult industry but with the public. And I am not talking shit. But it is. [B/G] is a lot more explicit."
Dolce also spoke about her pre-porn career as a DJ, something she still does in conjunction with her adult career.
"I DJ'ed before I got into the business," Dolce said. "I was doing it for a couple years, actually."
"You've got to pick your music and you have to mix it right," she went on. "The flow has to be good. I curate every music set uniquely — per performance and per venue. I don't play the same set again and again."
She also talked about her expansion into directing.
"With directing, it kind of fell into my lap," she said. "I look up to Holly Randall. Her stuff is really dope. Kayden Kross' stuff is really dope, too."
"You learn something new from every movie you do," she continued. "From getting the paperwork together to the aesthetics, you learn something new every time."
