LOS ANGELES — "Shameless Sex" podcast hosts April Lampert and Amy Baldwin are celebrating "Movember Prostate Awareness Month" with the launch of a new Instagram contest running through November 19, open to participants 18 and older.
To participate in the contest, fans are instructed to listen to the show's November 12 episode, then DM or email an anonymous photo sharing something they learned about prostate health or pleasure.
Lampert additionally noted that the photo must contain a mustache — "both real and fake ones are acceptable," a rep said. The photos may be shared on the podcast's Instagram in posts or stories to "help educate the public about prostate health and pleasure."
Inspired by Charlie Glickman, PhD and Aislinn Emirzian’s book, "The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure: Erotic Explorations For Men and Their Partners," the sex-ed photo campaign is aimed at highlighting the issues of men’s health and mindfulness about prostate and testicular cancer prevention.
“We love Prostate Awareness Month because it is an opportunity to de-stigmatize prostate play, as well as educate folks about prostate health,” said Lampert. “Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is reported as the most common cancer among men.
“Furthermore, some research suggests that regular stimulation of the prostate may reduce health risks as it increases circulation to the area, so this is the perfect opportunity to highlight the many benefits that can be had with more education and awareness about this powerhouse of pleasure.”
