LONDON — U.K. mattress e-tailer Eve Sleep has launched a new sexual wellness app called Lover, with a $5M seed round led by VC firm Lerer Hippeau, plus aid from Tinder's co-founder.
Eve Sleep, according to a rep, had "one of the U.K.’s fastest ever IPOs when it floated in 2017."
Lover, the rep added, "aims to take the taboo out of sexual wellness and do for sexual health what apps like Calm and Headspace do for mental health — empower users and bring the subject into the mainstream."
Lover "provides a unique Meyers-Brigg-style 'Sexual profiler' to help users identify their sexual type — personalizing the content for each user."
The app provides a variety of content, from expert guidance in the form of video and audio to both mental and physical exercises. It also features games and the sexual profiler tool, based, according to Eve Sleep, "on the work of leading scientists in the field."
