New York Magazine Ranks Top Male Sex Toys

NEW YORK — New York Magazine's The Strategist published an article last week ranking the best male sex toys on the market as decided by experts.

The writers, David Notis and Louis Cheslaw, spoke to a number of sexperts to reach their rankings in a variety of categories.

In the "Best Overall Ring" category, the winner was the Je Joue Mio Vibrating Cock Ring.

"The Mio is top of my list when it comes to vibrating cock rings," Babeland sex educator Lisa Finn told The Strategist. "The motor is powerful despite the ring not being bulky, and it has a rumbly sensation that delivers deep, penetrating vibration for both partners to enjoy."

Runners-up include the Ahoy Silicone Ring, We-Vibe Pivot, Screaming O Vibrating Ring and Ohnut Intimate Wearable Ring.

In the "Best Overall Stroker" category the winner was the Tenga Egg.

"Incredibly discreet, super-cute, make really good gifts, and they’re only $10," notes Shag Owner Samantha Bard.

"It doesn’t have to be just a solo thing," Bard continued. "In fact, probably half our customers who buy it are females buying it for their boyfriends or partners."

Runners-up include the Fleshlight Quickshot, the Tenga Flip Zero, the Fun Factory Manta, the Buck Angel Buck-Off FTM Stroker and the Element MS Male Stroker.

In the "Best Overall Prostate Toy" category, the winner was the Aneros MGX Trident.

"I think men are becoming much more open to exploring that part of their bodies," said Bard. "When we talk about prostate play here, we call it the 'P-spot.' The P-spot can give you a different kind of orgasm than regular ejaculation. It’s a deeper, more filling orgasm, and if you can train your body to have a prostate orgasm as well as a regular orgasm, it could be a blended orgasm that’s really kind of out of this world."

In the "Best Overall Anal Toy" category, the winner was the b-Vibe Anal Education Set.

Museum of Sex buyer Kit Richardson said a great place to start would be with the brand’s new "Anal Education" set, because not only does it include everything one might need — including an enema kit, lube shooter and plugs in three different sizes — it also comes with "a how-to book that’s very gender-neutral and talks about anal sex in a way that everybody can relate to it and learn from."

Runners-up include the b-Vibe Rimming Petite, the Fun Factory 'Flexi Felix' Anal Beads  and the nJoy Pure Plug and Steel.
