LOS ANGELES — JustFor.fans is reducing its minimum payout amount to $20, from $50, to assist performers who are now relying more heavily on their online sales during the coronavirus outbreak.
"A lot of our models have seen their real-world work dry up, and now rely solely on their online work," said owner Dominic Ford. "While the difference between $20 and $50 may not seem like a lot to some people, it could be the difference between a model being able to eat during this time."
"Starting this week, all thresholds will be reduced to $20 for payouts in the United States," he explained. "Non-U.S. payouts will also be reduced to $20 starting next week, simply because their payouts have already been processed this week."
