ViRo Playspace Debuts Virtual Camgirl Vex Ruby on Chaturbate, Plexstorm

LOS ANGELES — ViRo Playspace has unveiled Vex Ruby, a new virtual camgirl who is quickly gaining a fanbase on Chaturbate and Discord.

According to the company, Vex Ruby is a digital camgirl controlled by a female performer who is 3D rendered from head-to-toe in real-time, with full facial and motion tracking. She has several unique features built into her shows, including a special in-room rain system that dissolves her clothing as her fans send her tips, and a “Lens of Truth,” an X-ray view spyglass tool that, when held in front of her, lets viewers see through her clothes.

While Vex Ruby currently broadcasts on Chaturbate at 5 p.m. (PDT) on most days, she’s also branching out to adult game streaming platform Plexstorm, where she will make her debut Friday at 3 p.m. (PDT). Eventually, Vex Ruby will be the first foray into adding social interactions into the ViRo Playspace app, which is currently available on Steam.

While some virtual cam personas in the live cam space are promoted as being AI-driven, Vex Ruby is a digital representation of the real life Vex Ruby who runs the show behind the scenes. Her personality, a nerdy sex geek with a penchant for cosplay, is an authentic extension of Vex Ruby herself.

“When Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor Moon, she was actually in sort of a dark place, and conquered that through writing about girls she wished were her friends. I have found this very relatable in regards to creating and streaming as Vex Ruby,” said Ruby. “She shares much of my own personal attributes — silly, nerdy, sex-positive — but she expresses them in an unabashed way I always wished I could.”

“She is me,” Ruby added, “but also the sort of person whom I have always looked up to.”

Wearing a motion capture suit, Vex Ruby, the person, controls her digital persona in a state-of-the-art motion tracking studio utilized for creating video game characters.

ViRo Playspace’s Marketing Director Ela Darling insists that this is what sets Vex Ruby apart from other virtual camgirls, such as Chaturbate’s Projekt Melody, or the growing trend of CG-based brand ambassadors, such as xHamster’s Shy Yume and YouPorn’s Jedy Vales, among others.

“We’re able to get incredibly real motion and movement, both on her body and her face, because we can make use of the equipment and studio used to create high-end VR games,” Darling explained. “It’s definitely not something you’ll find in most cam performer setups, but between the tech and the magnetic personality of Vex herself, she’s really a study on how intimate and engaging a virtual persona can be.”

ViRo Playspace offers interactive VR experiences that are accessible without a VR headset, supports more than 45 different haptic devices and toys, and is supported by the Patreon community.
