EDSE Reschedules Spring 2020 Sex Educator Certification Program

LOS ANGELES — Everyone Deserves Sex Education (EDSE) has announced that the Spring 2020 edition of its sex educator certification program, set for April 18-19 and 25-26 in Los Angeles, has been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"This is a stressful, scary, uncertain [and] lonely time for all of us," said EDSE Founder Anne Hodder-Shipp, "and the best thing we can do is focus on our health and safety, and the health and safety of those around us. That means self-isolation and social distancing, staying at home and leaving only when absolutely necessary."

She added, "Even in-person hangouts with six feet between each other are considered high-risk — please keep this in mind as you navigate COVID-19 mandates and protocols in your own town or city."

The Spring 2020 program will be rescheduled pending official safety recommendations. Applications that have already been accepted for the Spring 2020 program will automatically apply to the next training and currently enrolled attendees will be emailed personally with additional information.

Hodder-Shipp said that she is also "exploring online programming ideas."
